An alumnus of The University of Electro-Communications (UEC), Dr. Prakit was awarded "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" in the 2023 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals for his invaluable contributions to strengthening and promoting academic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Thailand. The conferment ceremony was conducted on June 13, 2024, at the Embassy of Japan in Thailand.
Dr. Prakit graduated from the Master's course of the Department of Communication Engineering, Graduate School of Electro-Communications, UEC in 1976. Subsequently, he has held prominent positions including President of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net), and President of the Old Japan Students' Association, Kingdom of Thailand (OJSAT).
