This department conducts education and research related to the field of informatics and communication technology, which forms the foundation of an advanced communications society. Specifically, the research is based on robust thinking skills in mathematical and physics in the areas of computer, communications, networks, media processing, man-machine interfaces and mathematical information analysis technology.
The department has the following four specialty programs.
This program systematically teaches the main technologies at each scale of information and communication systems, based on a grounding in the fundamentals of electricity, electronics and systems.
This program teaches specialized knowledge and practical skills in the various electronic information systems that support an advanced communications society.
Participants in this program learn the basic theory, model construction methods and high-speed, high-accuracy computing technologies related to various phenomena and which are necessary to resolve various issues in engineering science. They also master advanced mathematical analysis techniques.
Participants in this program master the skills to create the next-generation information society by exploring the potential for revolutionary computer applications and by creating new interactions between humans and computers.
The instructors are the instructors in the Faculty of Informatics and Engineering. Please refer to the list of instructors for the Faculty of Informatics and Engineering.
